Hi sarva,

This program does not alert you of new mails. All it did was to hide the Vista Mail windows. So Vista Mail is still running invisibly and thus still able to retrieve and give notifications on new messages if it was set to do so.

For my own case, whenever there are new mails, a new white envelope icon will appear in the tray (in addition to the Vista Mail Tray icon). At the same time, a sound will be emitted (as set in Vista Mail: Tools > Options > General > Play sound when new messages arrive). All these were set and done by Vista Mail and not Vista Mail Tray.

Hopefully I had answered your question. Have a nice day. : )

I use pop3 mail configured to my vista windows mail. But, the tray icon doesn't alert me with new mails. Am I missing anything in the setup? I am able to download mails from Vista Windows Mail.
